Shipley Do-Nuts Chain Announces Colorado Expansion Plans

Shipley Do-Nuts announced the opening of the Colorado market for franchise development, with the first Denver unit scheduled to open in 2017. The company plans to expand to 58 units throughout Colorado in the coming years. Both single-store and multi-unit development agreements are available.

“We are absolutely thrilled to bring our famous Shipley Do-Nuts to Colorado,” said Lawrence Shipley III, the CEO of Shipley Do-Nuts. “Colorado is a perfect fit for our company that started in 1936. We serve over 50 varieties of famous Shipley Do-Nuts and we are excited to add over 800 jobs to the state of Colorado,” said Shipley.

“Our do-nuts continue to delight customers of all ages,” said Shipley, “Our varieties remain as consistent as the freshness of the products, and although the plain glazed is by far the best seller, everyone seems to have their favorites.”

Since 1936, the Shipley family do-nut recipe has withstood the test of time. With more than 50 varieties of delicious do-nuts, pastries, and kolaches made fresh daily and served hot, it’s this same simple concept that has continued to bring back multiple generations of loyal customers. Shipley Do-Nuts originated in Houston, Texas, where it still maintains its offices and production facility. Today, Shipley Do-Nuts is under the leadership of Lawrence Shipley III, with over 280 franchise locations in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The company celebrated its 80th birthday last year and has plans to reach 400 stores by 2020.
