Ford’s Garage Signs Three-Unit Franchise Agreement for Delaware Expansion
Ford’s Garage, a full-service restaurant with a 1920s garage theme, has entered into a three-unit development agreement with Carson’s Garage, LLC to bring the restaurant brand to Delaware for the first time. The agreement includes plans for new locations in Kent and Sussex counties, with the first restaurant expected to open in Millsboro in early 2027 at 28362 Dupont Blvd. Additional locations are being targeted for Lewes and Camden.
Carson’s Garage, LLC, is owned by entrepreneurs from the automotive and restaurant industries. David Wilson Sr. and David Wilson Jr. are owners of Preston Automotive Group, which operates dealerships for Ford, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Ram, Hyundai, Mazda, and Toyota brands, as well as powersports and lawn and garden equipment in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. The development group also includes 23 Restaurant Group/Operating Partners, which owns and operates several Ford’s Garage locations in Florida.
The Wilson family has operated in the Millsboro area since 1987. The group cited Millsboro’s growing population and proximity to Delaware’s beach communities as factors in selecting the location for the first restaurant.
David Wilson Sr. has served as a Ford National Council chairman and is an inductee in the Ford Volume Dealers Hall of Fame. Preston Automotive Group employs more than 1,000 people and sells close to 16,000 retail units annually. The Wilson family has supported organizations such as the March of Dimes, the American Cancer Society, and local youth sports programs.
