Swig Signs 10-Unit Franchise Agreement for Colorado Springs
Swig has entered into a multi-unit franchise agreement with Alex and Alan Knox to open 10 locations in Colorado Springs. This agreement marks Swig’s first entry into the Colorado market. The first location is expected to open by the end of 2026.
Alex and Alan Knox are the franchisees for this development. The father-son team has experience in franchising and restaurant operations. Alan Knox began his career in the restaurant industry after college, focusing on franchising and operations. Alex Knox has worked in both restaurant and corporate sectors, including sales and leadership roles within restaurant groups, and is currently involved in venture capital.
Swig’s franchise model features a drive-thru-centric design that can operate in spaces as small as 800 to 850 square feet. The model does not require complex kitchen infrastructure, which allows operators to streamline labor and reduce build-out costs. This model is intended to enable efficient scaling across multiple locations.
Swig was founded in 2010 in St. George, Utah. The company reports having more than 150 locations across 16 states. The brand offers beverages including dirty sodas, water-based drinks called Refreshers, customizable energy drinks called Revivers, and snack options such as a pink frosted sugar cookie.
No specific addresses or opening dates for the Colorado Springs locations have been announced, except that the first site is expected to open by the end of 2026.
