Sigri Indian BBQ Signs Franchise Agreement for Gainesville, Florida Location
Sigri Indian BBQ, a Craveworthy Brands concept, has signed a franchise agreement to open its first Florida location in Gainesville. The restaurant will be locally owned and operated by Ravin and Heali Mehta, a husband-and-wife team with experience in fast casual franchising who previously operated another restaurant concept before relocating to Gainesville. The new Sigri Indian BBQ is expected to open in mid-2027.
The Gainesville location will serve the area’s diverse consumer base, including students, young professionals, and families. The market is anchored by the University of Florida and is known for its demand for globally inspired flavors and convenient, high-quality dining options.
Founded in 2015, Sigri Indian BBQ offers North Indian cuisine inspired by roadside restaurants known as ‘dhabas.’ The menu features open-flame cooking, including kebabs, spiced bowls, kathi rolls, and freshly baked naan, with an emphasis on fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques.
Craveworthy Brands is the parent company of Sigri Indian BBQ and supports franchisees with operational systems and a support model. Ravin and Heali Mehta will operate the Gainesville location as local franchisees. The restaurant is scheduled to open in mid-2027.
