WaBa Grill Posts 7.1% Same-Store Sales Growth in 2025

WaBa Grill reported a 7.1% increase in same-store sales for 2025, with systemwide sales rising 7.5% to just under $185 million and the company ending the year with 195 locations.

WaBa Grill ended 2025 with a 7.1% increase in same-store sales, driven evenly by growth in both transactions and average check. Systemwide sales rose 7.5% to just under $185 million, and the brand finished the year with 195 locations.

Through early March 2026, systemwide sales are trending nearly 10% ahead of the prior year, with same-store sales growth in the high single digits, supported by gains in both transactions and checks. The company reported strength across all dayparts, continued menu innovation, and strong guest engagement.

WaBa Grill’s 2026 milestone goals include surpassing $200 million in systemwide sales, opening its 200th location, and achieving $1 million in average unit volume, coinciding with the brand’s 20th anniversary.

Early-year momentum in 2026 has been supported by new menu items, including the Chicken & Shrimp Bowl and the February launch of Chili Crisp Dumplings. The Chicken & Shrimp Bowl quickly gained guest adoption, and the Chili Crisp Dumplings exceeded early test performance.

The company reported a two-year same-store sales stack approaching 20%. Recent unit expansion included new locations in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Fresno.

Plans for 2026 include expanding the WaBeverage platform and Happy Hours daypart strategy, launching first-party catering, and introducing a new core menu architecture. The planned menu evolution is described as the most extensively tested in company history, aimed at simplifying the guest experience, strengthening unit economics, and supporting further growth.
