Timber Pizza Co. Expands in Virginia With New Stores in Alexandria and Richmond

Timber Pizza Co., a Washington, D.C.-based pizza brand, is expanding its East Coast presence, with a focus on Virginia. The company has opened six franchise locations in just over a year, including stores in Charleston, South Carolina, and Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina.

Development is underway for new franchisee-owned and operated stores in Alexandria and Richmond, Virginia. The Richmond location is expected to open by the end of 2026, with Alexandria to follow. Timber Pizza Co. currently operates locations in McLean (Arlington) and Terminal E of Reagan National Airport. The company is also targeting Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, and the Hampton Roads/Tidewater region for future growth.

The International Franchise Association ranked Virginia as the third-best state to open a franchise in 2025. Timber Pizza Co. has operated its mobile business in Northern Virginia and the Richmond community for years.

The company’s model is designed for multi-unit operators, featuring an efficient menu and flexible hours. Timber Pizza Co. aims to allow franchisees to remain engaged in daily operations while expanding into metropolitan and suburban markets.

Company leadership considers Virginia a pivotal market for the next phase of growth, citing its proximity to the D.C. headquarters and the ability to support operators in the region. The expansion into Richmond and Alexandria is part of a broader growth initiative.

No specific opening date for the Alexandria location has been provided beyond the indication that it will follow the Richmond store, which is expected to open by the end of 2026. No additional details regarding franchise agreements or further locations have been disclosed.
