Detroit-Style Pizza Arrives in Charlottesville As Emmy Squared Pizza Opens New Location

Emmy Squared Pizza, a restaurant known for its unique blend of Detroit-style pizza and Brooklyn creativity, has officially announced its grand opening event in Charlottesville. The celebration is slated for Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their new Emmet Street location.

The opening event will encompass a lively community celebration including food samples, live entertainment, and giveaways. The first 25 attendees will receive free pizza for a year, redeemable as one pizza per month from the restaurant’s popular styles: the Colony, Classic, or Vodka. The event will include live entertainment, food tastings, and raffle prizes.

The restaurant’s signature Detroit-style pizzas, known for their airy, focaccia-like dough and crispy frico crust, will be featured during the event. Additional offerings will include Mozz sticks and quartered burger bites, all made from high-quality ingredients and scratch-made dough that rises for 24 hours.

Emmy Squared Pizza has built its reputation on creative flavor combinations, elevated cocktails, and an inventive culinary approach. The brand’s expansion into Charlottesville is a part of its wider growth strategy.

The new Charlottesville location is situated at 973 Emmet St N, Suite D, Charlottesville, VA 22903. The restaurant’s unique culinary approach, merging Detroit-style pizza methodology with Brooklyn creativity, has earned it a loyal following across the country. The Colony pizza, topped with house-made red sauce, signature cheese blend, Ezzo pepperoni, pickled jalapeños, and drizzled with honey, is a fan favorite.

Emmy Squared Pizza has 29 locations across the United States.
