Chili’s Grill & Bar Opens New Branch in Scranton, Pennsylvania
Chili’s Grill & Bar is set to open its newest restaurant branch in Scranton, Pennsylvania on April 7, 2025. This location will feature throwbacks to iconic 2000s TV moments and will be the only Chili’s restaurant with fan-favorite Awesome Blossom on its menu.
The Scranton branch will pay homage to some of Chili’s most notable on-screen moments, with a decor designed to spark nostalgia amongst its customers. The restaurant will feature a Chili’s Scranton Branch chalk art mural created by the original Chili’s artist from the early 2000s.
Despite its popularity and frequent mentions in pop culture, Chili’s has never had a location in Scranton. This changes with the opening of the Scranton branch, which is expected to feel like a familiar home to fans. The restaurant will also offer the beloved Awesome Blossom, a deep-fried onion cut into a blossom shape, served with Chili’s Buffalo Ranch dipping sauce. This menu item was removed from Chili’s menus in 2008, but is now back exclusively at the Scranton branch.
Chili’s has invited a few famous “locals” to introduce the restaurant to the world in multiple ads that will run online and on social media to celebrate the grand opening. The restaurant is also launching Scranton Marg, a $5 drink offered nationwide for one day only on April 7.
Chili’s Scranton Branch merchandise will be available starting April 7, with a pair of t-shirts to commemorate the opening.
