Umami Burger locations will be integrated into AccorHotels international properties
sbe announced their latest collaboration with AccorHotels. sbe and AccorHotels have agreed to open over 100 Umami Burger restaurants within AccorHotels across the globe in the next seven years. This is just the beginning of sbe’s restaurant brand collaboration within AccorHotels and the first step to fully integrating sbe’s brands into the AccorHotels ecosystem. In the next few months, sbe will continue to globally expand its restaurant portfolio and entertainment venues including Katsuya, Cleo, Carna, Filia, Diez y Seis, Leynia, Krispy Rice, Hyde Beach Club and its renowned mixology programs SkyBar, S Bar, Privilege and Dandelyan.
Sam Nazarian, Founder & CEO of sbe states: “We are very proud to collaborate with Amir Nahai, CEO of Global Food & Beverage and Lifestyle Brands at AccorHotels and his team to bring the incredible Umami culinary experience to AccorHotels guests globally. Our integration with AccorHotels is aggressively moving ahead and we look forward to implementing an incredible array of initiatives with AccorHotels and its Chairman and CEO, Sebastien Bazin.” Nazarian further states, “Our goal is to have 300 Umami Burgers open by 2026, through our robust pipeline of sbe hotels, Accor hotels, company-owned venues in North America, as well as via the specialized hand-picked entrepreneurs we have found to help grow the brand in international markets. The Fast Casual and QSR space has become a very intriguing part of our Disruptive Restaurant Group and I intend on launching more brands through these amazing channels like the exciting Krispy Rice by Katsuya brand that we announced last year.”
Amir Nahai, Chief Executive Officer of Global Food & Beverage and Lifestyle Brands at AccorHotels states: “In just a short period of time sbe has become an essential part of our F&B offering and an integral part of our team. They have had a profound impact on the lifestyle segment globally over the past 20 years and we look forward to writing the next chapter together. Our common goal is to place 100 Umami locations in our hotels worldwide and we look forward to many more like-minded culinary collaborations.”
The announcement of this partnership follows news of the planned rollout of over 40 Umami Burger locations in Mexico (including four in Q1 2019), 20 more locations in Japan, several locations in the Middle East with two locations in Doha in 2019, and the recent opening of Umami Burger at the internationally acclaimed resort destination Baha Mar in the Bahamas. New York City will also be the home of five Umami owned locations to open in the next 18 months as part of the strategy to grow the Umami presence in the US.
Umami Burger currently has 16 locations in the US, three locations internationally in Tokyo, Japan and Nassau, Bahamas.
