Sbe Takes Over Management Of Three Owned Restaurants In Las Vegas

KUMI, Iconic RED SQUARE and Hot Spot CITIZENS at Mandalay Bay Now Managed In-House by sbe's Operations Team

sbe and Disruptive Restaurant Group, a division of sbe, announced that they have taken over the management of three of their current sbe-owned culinary venues from Hakkasan Group. Effective immediately, sbe now manages KUMI Japanese Restaurant and Bar, RED SQUARE Restaurant & Vodka Lounge and CITIZENS Kitchen and Bar, all located at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.  This exciting expansion further reinforces sbe’s strong relationship with MGM Resorts International, which already includes Mandalay Bay’s management of the iconic Delano Las Vegas.

With the addition of the restaurants to the Disruptive Restaurant Group portfolio, sbe further pursues its strategy to expand its offering in the lifestyle hospitality segment worldwide in top travel and culinary destinations, with a focus on unique dining concepts and elevated culinary experience for its guests.

KUMI Japanese Restaurant and Bar by Chef Akira Back has received extraordinary support and welcome since their opening. The restaurant features a modern Japanese menu with a Korean-American twist. Guests are welcomed by an extraordinary ambience of raw natural woods, hammered steel accents and touches of red lacquer to compliment the dining experience. Kumi is the principal culinary destination for Japanese cuisine in Las Vegas. Kumi’s menu features Chef Akira Back’s signature Korean-American twist on traditional Japanese dishes. Constantly inspired by his childhood and global travels, menu items include a variety of shared plates such as Whitefish Carpaccio with hirame, dried shallot, Nanbanzu and Rock Shrimp Tempura with Siracha ranch, micro celery. RED SQUARE Restaurant & Vodka Lounge at Mandalay Bay launched in 1999 as one of Vegas’s premiere dinner, cocktail and nightlife destinations. CITIZENS Kitchen and Bar continues to revolutionize the dining scene with a crafted menu featuring American comfort food available 24/7 for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a fully stocked grab-and-go counter and juice bar. Offering everything from continental breakfast to soup & salad options, hearty build-your-own sandwiches and signature entrees, the casual eatery has a dish to satisfy any guest’s craving. Signature dishes include: Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos with guacamole, slaw and chipotle mayo; Toasted Reuben with turkey or corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Thousand Island Dressing; Brick Chicken, a half chicken with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli; and Spicy Gumbo with Andouille sausage, shrimp, and Alaskan Crab Leg.
