National Restaurant Association Law Center Holds Webinar on Tipped Employees and Side Work

Join the Law Center's Angelo Amador for a webinar on side work and the FLSA’s tip credit. The presentation will explain new guidance from the Dept. of Labor.

The National Restaurant Association’s Restaurant Law Center, in partnership with the Epstein Becker Green law firm, will host a webinar, ” New U.S. Department of Labor Guidance for Restaurants on “Side Work” and the FLSA’s Tip Credit”, Jan. 23, at 3:30 p.m. EST.

The webinar will focus on several important issues, including the new guidance’s impact on tipped workers and the amount of time spent on tasks that don’t specifically generate tips. Those tasks consist of wiping down tables, filling salt-and-pepper shakers, or rolling silverware into napkins – duties that industry members typically refer to as “side work.”

The presentation, moderated by Angelo Amador, the RLC’s executive director, will feature guest speaker Paul DeCamp, a partner at Epstein Becker Green. Register now!
